Cách Fix lỗi: the virtual machine version is not compatible with the version of the host esxi

Clone VPS từ VMware ESXi 6.7 qua VMware ESXi 6.0

Bước 1: Enable SSh trên Vmware ESXi 6.7
Bước 2: SSH vào thư mực chứa VPS

cd /vmfs/volumes/ten_datastore/ten_vps

Bước 3: Copy file vmx ra để backup

cp ten_vps.vmx ten_vps.vmx.bak

Bước 4: Tìm và thay đổi dòng: virtualHW.version trong file ten_vps.vmx

virtualHW.version = "14" ===> qua virtualHW.version = "11"

Nếu version vmware là ESXi 6 thì thay 11 vào.

Bước 5: chạy lệnh sau để tìm ID

vim-cmd vmsvc/getallvms | grep ten_vps

Bước 5: ID vps là 203 thì chạy lệnh sau để Update lại thông tin đã chỉnh sữa

vim-cmd vmsvc/reload 203



Bước 6: Start lại VPS và có thể Clone qua Vmware ESXi 6
