Odoo Access Denied When Creating New Database

Sau khi cài đặt xong Odoo và truy cập vào http://IP:8069 để tạo Database đầu tiên thì bạn được yêu cầu nhập password master, nếu nhập sai thì bạn sẽ nhận thông báo lỗi sau:

Cause

The error happened because the master password that was specified to create the database is not the same with the master password set in Odoo to allow the PostgreSQL database operations.


Resolution

The solution to the access denied error is easy. Just make sure that the master password for the database operations is correct.
By default, if you have never changed the master password, or if your Odoo is newly installed, or the Odoo config file doesn’t contain admin_password value, or the admin_password variable is commented out, or no configuration file is specified, then the default master password is admin.
But if the “admin” master password does not work, probably it has been changed to another password. To check the master password currently set, find and edit the Odoo configuration file, openerp-server.conf which is normally located in /etc or /etc/odoo directory, and then check the value for admin_passwd parameter.
